Dreampad Musical Pillow Review. Get A Better Nights Sleep!!

**All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  I was not compensated for this post.  I was given product for review purposes.**

Hearing music through the Dreampad is enjoyable and relaxing; it is also different. Some people love it the first time they try it, some take a night or two to get used to it. We encourage you to try different songs and volume levels to find what really works for you.

Dreampad technology is based on the natural conductivity of the human body. Our bones are natural conductors; in fact, every time you speak the vibration caused by your voice is carried by bone to your inner ear. In the same way, music from the Dreampad travels internally to your ear.

One positive aspect of this is that you’re not disturbing others in the room when you’re using the Dreampad. More importantly, as the vibration moves toward the bony area surrounding your middle and inner ear, it is triggering your body’s relaxation response. Clinical data suggests that the calming effect of the Dreampad is a result of the vibrational music stimulating the vagus nerve, which in turn activates the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). Our PNS helps us regulate stress – if we’re in a state of hyper-arousal, or elevated stress, the PNS is the part of our nervous system which brings us down to a calmer place where we can relax and fall asleep.

When I was a kid, I found the best way to fall asleep was to be listening to the radio.  Now as an adult, I need a fan for the noise factor.  Even in the dead of winter when it's really cold, I have a fan going.  When I was told about the Dreampad, and how music can play through your pillow and not disturb my hubs next to me, I was giddy.  This will be a terrific way for me to get the rest I need.

The Dreampad pillow comes in four different types; Slim Support, Medium Support, Firm Support, and Memory Foam.  Depending on your comfort level, there is a pillow for you.

On the side of your pillow, you have the port to connect your cell phone, or blue tooth device.  It is a zippered pouch, so when the pillow is not in use, you can zip up the cords to keep them safe.  I am taking my pillow with me camping this weekend, and I know the cords will be with the pillow, and not lost with all the other stuff we take with us.

I love the fact that when you lay your head on the pillow, you do not feel any cords or electronic components.  All you feel is pillow.  I was afraid you might feel a hard lump, but nope, nothing!!

The Dreampad app offers 10 different sounds to listen to.  Everything from soothing instruments, to ocean waves.  The app is really easy to use.  You set the timer for how long you want the music to play (all the way up to 24 hours,) plug her in, hit play, and fall asleep!!

I have been using the pillow for the last couple of weeks, and I have to say I feel more rested in the morning.  I have the Firm support, and it's just the right feel for me.  I find I have to share the pillow with my husband a lot, but the pillow is large enough that I don't mind!!

The one downside to the pillow is that it is obviously not machine washable (because of the electronics inside.)  They recommend spot cleaning it.  So far, as long as I keep a pillowcase on my pillow, it still looks brand new.  I do recommend investing in a high quality pillowcase to keep your pillow safe.

You can purchase your own Dreampad directly through their site here.  The Dreampad ranges from $149-$179 per pillow depending on the support.  They also sell high quality cotton pillowcases that are very soft for $12 each.
