PBS Kids- Wild Kratts: Wildest Animal Adventures On DVD September 3rd

WILD KRATTS: WILDEST ANIMAL ADVENTURES (set)

September 3, 2013

What better way to learn about cool creatures and science than to go on an around the world adventure with Martin and Chris Kratt!

In this new set, featuring 20 episodes full of adventure, mystery and laugh-out-loud-comedy, kids will learn about natural history and witness many never-before seen wildlife moments. From discovering the secret of the Draco lizard’s gliding abilities in “Flight of the Draco,” to digging up the answer to the mystery of why worms come above ground when it rains in “Mystery of the Squirmy Wormy,” all the “WILD KRATTS” episodes in this set will have kids learning and having fun.

More than 10.5M households tune in to watch “WILD KRATTS” each month!

“WILD KRATTS” transforms Martin and Chris Kratt into animated versions of themselves, allowing the real-life zoologists to visit wild animals in their little-seen habitats and to showcase key science concepts along the way. Geared toward kids ages 6 to 8, each episode of “WILD KRATTS” presents age-appropriate science inspired by the natural abilities of the animals that the Kratt brothers – and young viewers – meet. The series premiered on PBS KIDS in January 2011 and is part of PBS’ ongoing commitment to STEM – science, technology, engineering and math – education for kids.

Runtime: Approx. 555 minutes on 5 discs

SRP: $39.99

Lights, Camera, Action!!!! I Am Going To Hollywood!!! #LittleMermaidEvent #DisneyPlanesPremiere

**All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  This once in a life time trip is all expenses paid to LA compliments of Disney.  The above button is thanks to the very talented wife of Days Of A Domestic Dad!!**

Ben and I have a ton of places we want to visit in this life time.  Places like Transylvania (yes we want to see Dracula's castle,) Paris, and every state in the US.  We have hit quite a few on the eastern side, but have not made it to the middle or the west.  Now is my chance!!!

I am truly honored to be invited to head out to LA this coming Sunday to see the premiere of Disney's Planes, and celebrate the release of The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition on DVD with 24 awesome bloggers and three terrific Disney representatives!!

We are going to stay at the beautiful, famous (and maybe haunted!!) Roosevelt Hotel!!  This hotel is right on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame!!  How cool is that!!

We will get to attend not only the premiere of Disney's Planes, but we will also get to meet some of the folks who made The Little Mermaid such a huge success.  I will get to meet Jodi Benson who gave Ariel her beautiful voice!!!

The Little Mermaid was my first Disney movie, and as my Mom tells it, I would sing Ursula's song "Poor Unfortunate Souls" over and over again!!  I also did her little Body Language Dance!!

The Premiere of Disney's Planes is taking place at the El Capitan Theater, another famous Hollywood landmark.

My boys are so excited to see this movie!!  Ben Jr knows the names of all the characters, and knows almost word for word the trailers!!!

This is going to be a once in a life time experience for me, and I am very happy to be able to share it with all of you!!

Make sure you follow along with the Hashtag's #LittleMermaidEvent #DisneyPlanesPremiere on twitter, and stay tuned for awesome posts and lots of fun!!!

    Sleep Study

I am right now writing this from my local hospital. I am having a sleep study done to see if I have sleep apnea.

Not sure how they can get a true reading when I am not in my own bed, with my Husband next to me, but we shall see.  I look really silly don't I!!!

I am hoping that they do find that I have Apnea.  It would explain a lot of troubles I have been having lately!!!

At least there is a good movie on TV!!  I get to watch Iron Man!!!

    Sunburn Is HORRIBLE!!

This past weekend, we took the kids camping in Maine. We had a terrific time!!

Silly me got sunburned pretty badly on the tops of my legs from my knees to the tops of my feet.  This picture shows them after Noxzema and dipping them in the pool!!

Boy does it hurt!  I have had sunburns before, but nothing this bad.  My legs and feet are three times their normal size and feel like they are about to tear apart every time I move!!

So I have been laying low the last couple of days trying to reduce the swelling.  A lot of ice baths with epsom salt, and baking soda.

The baths do help but I am hoping they are better real soon!!

Breakfast At Home Makes Cent's Review And ~~Giveaway~~

"The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through MyBlogSpark."

Do you know how much money you could save by having breakfast at home?

It’s time to re-think your breakfast routine! Wake up and take the “Breakfast at Home Savings Challenge” to see just how much time and money you could save during the week by shopping and eating breakfast at home.

Beginning on June 15th, take advantage of great savings in-store and online on some of your family's favorite General Mills breakfast items like Honey Nut Cheerios®, Lucky Charms® and Cinnamon Toast Crunch® cereals! Simply select the coupons you want and print them directly from your printer. It’s that simple! Visit EveryDaySaver.com/breakfastathome for details!

I am all for saving money.  I do not like spending more then I have too.  One of the ways I save besides coupons is by eating almost all of our meals at home.

It's a very simple equation.  For the four of us to go out to eat (even at a fast food restaurant) for breakfast, we are looking at a bill of at least $20.  If we stay home and have cereal with milk and even fresh fruit, the total is around $6.  That includes a gallon of milk, box of cereal and a pint of berries.  At the bare minimum that is a $14 savings!!!

Think about how much you could save if you just ate breakfast at home every day.  I even eat breakfast "at home" when we are on vacation.  When we go to Disney World, we buy milk and cereal, and have breakfast in our hotel room every day before we hit the parks.  It saves a ton of money!!!

I am very happy to see that General Mills has started a challenge to get people to consider their spending, and commit to try to save!!  I hope each and everyone of you sits down and does the math to see how much you could save too!!

Now thanks to General Mills and MyBlogSpark, I have a terrific giveaway for you.

How would you like to win a prize pack that includes-

$25 gift card (to get your breakfast needs!!)
    One box of Lucky Charms®
One box of Honey Nut Cheerios®
    Big G Bowl
    Big G lip balm

Enter using the rafflecopter form below, and good luck!!!

Make sure you follow General Mills on Facebook and Twitter to keep up on all the news and promotions.

Cleaning Teeth Is Easy With The Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush #CBias #powerupursmile #Shop

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

When I was younger, I was not very good about teeth brushing!!  I hated to do it, and I really didn't care about future problems.  Back then I had never even heard of Electric Toothbrushes!!

Now that I am older and I would like to think more responsible, I make sure that my teeth are number one priority in my beauty regiment.

I have seen pictures of teeth that are really bad, and I refuse to ever look like that!!  I will not let my family get that way either!!  We visit the dentist twice a year, brush at least twice a day, and just do our best to keep our teeth top notch!!

Ben Sr has been asking to get one of the power toothbrushes for a long time now, so he was very excited when I told him I would get him a Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush to use from Walmart.

He loves it!!  We were both amazed at how powerful the PowerUp is.  It runs on just two double A batteries!!

It gives a very deep clean to your teeth.  The bristles get into those hard to reach spots, and it even makes your breath fresher!!  What I love the most is the fact that it shuts off by itself after two minutes (recommended time frame for brushing!!)  That way you do not have to worry about dead batteries if it gets left on by accident!!

Douglas wants one too!!  He saw Daddy brushing, so he wanted to try it out.  We told him when he gets a little bigger he can get one!!

The Phillips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush is less then $20 at Walmart, and so are the replacement heads!!  A great price for the amount of care you get!!  A month's worth of brush strokes in a day!!

Now we are trying to think of creative ways to use Ben's manual toothbrush so it doesn't go to waste.  I have used toothbrushes in the past to clean grout in the bathtub, but with this one, I am going to use it to clean out the slats on our fan.  It is just the right size!!

If you would like to see some more fun, check out the neat video here that shows you the evolution of toothbrushes, and make sure you follow Phillips Sonicare on Facebook and Twitter!!!

You can also check out more pictures by visiting my Google+ Album here!!!
