MANNIES DIET AND ENZYME FORMULA BOOK REVIEW

"Your healthy foods are killing you," say Mannie Barling and Ashley F. Brooks. The
authors of this comprehensive new guide show how to eat healthily without radically
changing the substance of one's diet and how to easily minimize the effects of
inflammation which lead to disease and illness.

Tarzana, CA - July 14, 2010 - Authors and health care veterans Emanuel Barling, Jr.,
Esq., and Ashley F. Brooks, R.N., today announced the release of Mannie's Diet And
Enzyme Formula - A Change Of Lifestyle Diet Designed For Everyone, published by
Outskirts Press. This innovative and comprehensive new guide to eating healthily
teaches its readers how to create an elimination-style diet exclusively designed for their
own particular nutrition and lifestyle needs.

The authors had always thought that they were "eating healthy" per all the Food Pyramid
charts they'd seen posted on doctor's walls advocating fruits and vegetables. Then they
started getting ill. The healthy food they were eating was killing them.

They learned that all these so-called healthy foods were polluted with herbicides,
pesticides, preservatives and dangerous chemical food additives hidden in "clean labels."
No wonder they were feeling sick. Illness and disease are hastened by, and sometimes
even caused by, these dangerous chemicals that now widely contaminate Americans'
diets leading to cancer, diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

Recognizing that no one diet is perfect for everyone, the authors help their readers
identify the food intolerance's and allergies specific to them. They also show readers how
to eliminate toxic ingredients and how to identify a list of foods that are safe for them as
individuals. Barling and Brooks recommend organic foods and spices because they are
more appetizing, they satisfy hunger with smaller portions and they are nature's only real
guarantee for good health and longevity. Organic foods coupled with their natural
enzyme formula described in the book changed their lives and everyone who has tried it.

Citing more than fifteen hundred medical treatises, journals, surveys, tests and periodicals
in their book's reference section, the authors provide the source material on every theory
and opinion so that readers can read them for themselves.

as in-house counsel to two of the first HMOs in Los Angeles, including one that treated
more than 13,000 patients a month. Mr. Barling actively participated in the management
of these clinics as well as convalescent hospitals. This included his reviewing all medical
matters from PSRO (Professional Standards Review Organizations) and all physician
utilization, interviewing doctors and specialists, and evaluating malpractice claims.

Ashley F. Brooks is a third generation nurse who has extensive experience in emergency
rooms and psychiatric wards as well as in nutritional, holistic and environmental
medicine. She credits Dr. Theron Randolph, Dr. Linus Pauling's Vitamin C theories,
juicing and the vitamin and preventative nutrition theories of her mother, a trained
nutrition specialist, with saving her life from her own serious illness. Ms. Brooks is also
a singer and actress and has performed in independent feature films, television
commercials, print modeling and local and touring theater companies.

This was a very interesting book. You don't realize how many bad things there are in "good for you" foods.

I loved how the authors name foods and tell you what is good or bad in them.

They also give great cooking tips on how to prepare foods without loosing all the goodness.

My favorite part was where they describe why Diet Sodas are not that good for you. I have been telling my parents for years to stop drinking them. They keep telling me that because there is no "real" sugar, they are better for you then regular soda. Mind you the authors say you can drink them in small doses, and that you should still drink plenty of water to remove the "residue!" That is understandable. Try telling my parents that!!!

Also be careful of canned fish (IE Tuna) because of the mercury levels. I was told to avoid those at all costs when I was pregnant. It is a good rule of thumb for everyone. Try to limit your canned Tuna intake to once a month.

Over all I really enjoyed this book. It is a good reference book for anyone trying to live a healthier life!!

You can purchase your own copy on Amazon for $31.56

~~All opinions expressed are 100% mine. I was not paid for this review. I did receive a copy of the book to read thanks to Bostick Communications~~
