About the author:
Gurmay Effrige Fraser-Darlington holds a Master's of Social Work from Fordham
University and a BS in Social Welfare from Adelphi University. She is also a certified
special education teacher, a licensed therapist, a certified motivational speaker, and best-
selling author. Ms. Fraser-Darlington is featured in the book The Queens' Legacy and
stars as an empowerment speaker on domestic violence in the movie Queen City
Syndicate, currently in production.
Her work has earned her recognition by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating
dedication, leadership, and excellence in family and youth counseling, writing, and
motivational speaking.
This was a very hard book to read. All though it is a story about the Author, written by the Author, she talks about herself in the third person. Some of her sentences were a little choppy too.
The hardest part about this book was reading about all the sad, horrible things she has gone through. To imagine one person dealing with all the abuse is disheartening and disgusting.
Ms. Darlington has accomplished alot in this world, with the help of God. She has managed to turn her life into something she can be truly proud of.
This is a very inspirational book for anyone who has had to deal with abuse to any extent.
