DANGER IN A RED DRESS by CHRISTINA DODD REVIEW
As some of you may remember, a couple months ago I wrote up a post about Cash4Books.net. By writing the post, I was given a $25 gift cert to use on their sister site, McKenzie Books.
It took me a little while to figure out what books I wanted. I ended up getting 8 books for the $25. All of them are used books, and the site said that some were creased or showed visible signs of wear. I figured when I was getting each book for around $2 that it was a deal.
When the books came in, I was shocked. They all look brand new!!!
None of the books looked read at all. I was very excited.
This is the first book that I read.
"For Hannah Grey, the chance to take care of Carrick Manly’s elderly mother, Melinda, couldn’t have come at a better time. Once Hannah arrives at Balfour House, though, she almost loses the job when she refuses to report back to Carrick on everything Melinda says. Thwarted by Hannah, Carrick hires Gabriel Prescott to wire Balfour House in order to find out if his mother really knows the location of the millions of dollars stolen by his father. But soon after starting his new assignment, Gabriel begins to wonder exactly who Hannah is: an unscrupulous nurse trying to con her new patient, or a dedicated woman unwittingly caught up in a dangerous search for a missing fortune."
This was a page turner!!! I couldn't put it down.
At first I found Gabriel very creepy. He was watching Hannah without her knowing, and he was falling in love with her.
After you learn his secrets, you start to see him for the man he is (which isn't all that bad!!)
This book has an absolutely hilarious ending (I would love to share it, but I am biting my tongue!)
If you would like to purchase this book, you can get it on Amazon for $7.99. Unfortunately, I just checked McKenzie Books, and they no longer have it in stock. They do have a very large selection of other great books though. Check them out here.
~~All opinions expressed are 100% my own. I received this book free of charge from Cash4Books.net, using a gift cert I received.~~
