My second favorite Holiday is coming up really soon; Halloween!!!  I love to dress up, decorate and bake lots of fun goodies!!  The fall is my favorite time of year.  Cooler weather, bugs are leaving, and the pumpkin everything is out and about!!

My family benefits the most around the holidays, when I go crazy baking!!

Last year my sister had a Jack & Jill party right before Halloween.  I did all the desserts.  It was a blast!!

M&M's® just came out with a new Pecan Pie flavor.  I was very excited to try them.  My Mother and I always purchase what ever the newest flavor is!!

I wanted to use the M&M's® in a cupcake recipe, so I went to my local Walmart the other day and bought the M&M's®, Mott's® Apple Sauce, Snapple® Apple, Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix, and Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing.

I just learned of the this great contest where you can enter for a chance to win a Kitchen Aid Mixer.  That will sure help with Holiday baking!!

MARS Bake In The Fun Sweepstakes

My cupcake recipe is really simple.  We followed the easy directions on the Pillsbury™ Cake Mix box.  Instead of using oil, we substituted that for the Mott's® Apple Sauce.  Of course we also added some extra secret ingredients (a sprinkle of pumpkin spice seasoning, cinnamon and a splash of Snapple® Apple!!)

See how yummy these look!!!  They are also so much more moist when you use Mott's® Apple Sauce then when you use oil.

After the cupcakes cooled, we frosted them with Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese Icing.  I had bought some sprinkles while I was at Walmart to really make them pop!!

After we ate all the cupcakes (yes they are all gone,) we made a fun fall center piece for the table using things we bought at Walmart in the Halloween section.

We purchased two scarecrows (.98 cents each,) two light up pumpkins ($1.98 each,) one leaf garland ($2.97,) three small pumpkins ($1.97,) and a bale of hay ($3.98.)

We took the plastic off the hay, and pushed the scarecrows into the hay.  On top of the hay we added the light up pumpkins.  Around the bottom of the hay we added the leaves, and the small pumpkins.  I think this came out really nice!!

This is a great display for your table, or for outside!!

If you are getting ready for fall entertaining, bookmark this post.  The cupcakes were super easy and delicious, and the display was simple to make and less then $15!!!  You can also check out some more fun fall inspired recipes by heading here!!

Happy Fall!!

I try to remember to substitute apple sauce for oil too. It really does make a nice cake!
