WILL O’ THE WISPS- BRAVE
THE LORE
WILL O’ THE WISPS
Travelers—particularly those who venture out after sunset on unfamiliar pathways—beware of the will o’ the wisps.
It is said—though by whom is a bit of a mystery—that on certain days for certain travelers in certain parts of the world, little lights dance on the horizon, whispering tempting invitations… pledging the answers to lifelong questions, the realization of dreams, a key to secret treasures—a change of fate.
Charmed and curious, unsuspecting travelers follow the floating lights, mesmerized by their whispers, their promises. Yet no matter how long or how fervently they follow, they never quite touch the beautiful beacons whose flickering lights eventually fade and disappear… leaving the inquisitors, the dreamers and the treasure seekers lost… and alone.
* * *
In “Brave,” Merida spies tiny blue lights after escaping into the forest in search of a change of fate. Forming a path that dares her to follow, the lights lead Merida to a mysterious location that holds the power to change her destiny—just not in the way she imagines.
“The will o’ the wisps are in a lot of Scottish folktales,” says “Brave” director Mark Andrews. “They were said to lead you to treasure or doom—to change your fate—but they’re an actual phenomenon of swamp and bog gas seeping up through the earth and interacting with the natural resources to create the blue flames. People would follow these lights thinking they were little fairies, and basically drown or get sucked down into the bogs.
“We made the wisps like actual little spirits,” Andrews continues. “They’re almost like Marley’s ghost in a way, because Marley’s ghost isn’t an evil spirit—even though he’s frightening, he’s trying to warn Ebenezer to change his ways. That’s what the wisps are doing. There’s a duality to them, because they’re either good or evil—they lead Merida into more and more trouble, but in the end, they’ve led her exactly where she needs to go.”

Today's challenge sounds like fun. They are given a protein, and then every couple minutes they are given other items. Obviously this is a challenge to test their skills at timed cooking.
The blue team was friendly about the ingredients, and shared. The red team only cared about themselves and no one else.
Most of the dishes were pretty good. Robyn opened her mouth, and said some stupid things. She only got 3 out of 9 stars. Not good!!
The blue team pulled a head but then Royce went up and there was hair in his food. Ewww!!
Christina's dish pulled off the win. She had a 3 star dish. The only one!!
The girls are sent to the spa!! Awesome prize. The blue team gets to prep and clean the dorms. Yuck.
The girls come back and right off the bat Barbie and Robyn go at it again.
Tonight is a celebrity dinner service. Each team has a celebrity in the kitchen. The red team has Sugar Ray Leonard!! The blue team has Tito Ortiz!!
As soon as the celebrities arrive, the teams collapse. Luckily they do get the celebrities fed their apps.
Robyn stands in front of Sugar Ray Leonard and just babbles.
Twice Patrick brings up cold Lobster for Tito Ortiz. Ramsey had enough, and kicked the whole team out of the kitchen.
The red team kicked butt on their kitchen, and then went to the blue kitchen and finished their tickets. Obviously the blue team lost!!

Why is Clemenza cooking scallops before they are even ordered?? That was a dumb move.
I can for see everyone getting yelled at already. They are watching the models, and not cooking properly. Not wise.
As I predicted, Tiffany gets the first hit. She did a horrible job on those Scallops. They were no where near cooked properly.
The red team bounced back and got all their apps out in time. Clemenza is having a rough time with scallops. He is trying to get 16 orders out, and he is not doing well.
The men finally got their act together, and got all their apps out.
Guy got caught. He was too busy looking at the models instead of paying attention to his cooking.
Clemenza is messing up his own dish. That is not good. Robyn completely over cooked the meat, and didn't have any others to replace it.
Did anyone see Ramsey's new show commercial called Hotel Hell?? I guess he is branching out into the hotel business!!
Robyn finally took her blame for over cooking the meat. Tiffany on the other hand couldn't be bothered to take blame for the swordfish.
Royce made a huge blunder trying to wipe clean plates with a nasty cloth. Ewww.
Both teams finished, but Ramsey is not happy with the huge waste of swordfish Clemenza left behind.
The blue team lost, and their first choice was obviously Clemenza. They are having a hard time picking their second. The deciding vote as to who is the second choice, falls on Roshni.

It doesn't surprise me that Danielle is gone. Ramsey does not tolerate raw food. It is extremely dangerous.
Why are these girls worried about targets on their backs?? This is a contest about skills. If you do well, you win. You are not there to make friends.
Royce is trying to take the lead. I don't for see him doing well at that roll.
All of these people fight non stop. I really do not see anyone of them winning.
I agree with the team that Royce would be a horrible leader. He is way to immature.
I like how the first challenge starts out with a women dressed to each decade with a certain food from that era. The Chefs have to make food for fashion designers. This will be a hard challenge. Fashion people don't eat!!
For the most part the blue team was working well together, until Guy started having issues boiling potatoes. That seems a little silly. Potatoes are really easy to make!!
Wow those fashion people are harsh. They complained about Justin and Brian's dish just looking at it. Not one dish made them happy at all. I can handle criticism but wow.
The blue team pulled it off!! They get to go on a shopping spree, and then wine tasting in Malibu!!
The girls are sore losers about not getting to go shopping. Instead they get to re-decorate the dinning room!!
The girls are having a hard time getting that walkway put together.
I think the blue team had a little too much to drink!!

I still find it funny that Ramsey moved Roshni to the blue team.
That pinata that Scott brought out was huge!! The teams get to make Mexican food now!!
For their first challenge, they had to collect a max of 25 balls that fell from the sky on their heads, and then turn the ingredients written on those balls into five dishes.
Brian's dish was not picked to show the judges, and Royce's was gross!! Men lost the point.
The red team won, and get to go and eat a Mexican themed lunch and learn Salsa Dancing. The blue team, gets to do all the prep work!! Eww the blue team was eating this nasty looking tripe.
I am not a big drinker, so I never would anyway, but when you are working and trying to get a terrific job, why would you drink enough to not know what you are saying?? Let's ask Tiffany that one!! She caused a big scene/fight for no reason!!
Barbie starts the night off bad with messing up the mussels. Guy had an issue with the Tuna at first, but then he nailed it. Barbie bounced back, and actually made good mussels.
Dana and Kimmie both put fish and meat on the same tray. When Ramsey asked which one did it, neither would speak up. Wow.
Danielle gave Ramsey raw pork. That is such a big no no!!!
Patrick gave the wrong time to Guy for his chicken, so they both got kicked out for bad timing. Patrick actually cried on camera.
Danielle sent out raw pork a second time. That is a death sentence.
Clemenza told Justin the pork wasn't ready, but he served it to Ramsey anyway. They both got kicked out. Then Danielle went, Barbie went, Tiffany went. Most of the kitchen is gone!!!
