DreamWorks Real Steel Movie Review
I have to be 100% honest. When I heard about this movie, I said "This will be the new version of Rocky" and I knew it wouldn't interest me.
Ben wanted to see it (he loves action fighting movies) so when I was given the chance to see an advance screening, I said sure so Ben could see it. Ironically, the day we were supposed to go, Ben had to work and couldn't go. I took my sister instead. I still was not that interested to see it.
When we sat down to watch the movie, with in 5 minutes we were hooked. The whole audience was.
I have been to many movies before, and I have never seen a movie make the audience become so emotionally involved before ever.
Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, and Evangeline Lilly steal your heart right away.
Hugh Jackman (Charlie Kenton) is a former boxer. Human boxing no longer exists, so to try to keep up with changing times, Charlie fights his robots. Unfortunately for Charlie, he is having a hard time winning and making ends meet.
When he meets up with his son Max (Dakota Goyo) in a strange turn of events, the two join forces to create a winning robot.
Max finds Atom in a scrap yard, and they teach him how to box just like Charlie did.
This movie made me laugh a lot, and actually tear up!!
The ending was really good (no I will not tell you!!) and left the movie open for a sequel (I hope, I hope!!!)
My opinion changed dramatically about this movie. It was well worth seeing, and I will be taking Ben to see it opening night.
P.s. Towards the end of the movie, there was a technical issue at the theater, and the sound went out. I have never seen so many people jump up and down anxious for it to come back on (I was one of them!!!) As I said, you can't help but get emotionally attached!!!
Real Steel opens October 7th!! Don't miss it!!

When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
“Real Steel” is directed by Shawn Levy (“Night at the Museum” franchise and “Date Night”).
“Real Steel” is about a former boxer (Hugh Jackman) who, against all odds, gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams up with his estranged son (Dakota Goyo) to build and train the perfect contender for the new high-tech sport of robot boxing.

Great review and I loved the videos! I just watched this finally after my coworkers from DISH told me it was awesome. I thought it was going to be boring watching robots box but I was wrong. Now I wish I had seen the movie sooner but now I can with my Blockbuster @ Home. Being a movie junkie I spend most my time watching all the new TV shows and movies. Getting thousands of movies, games and TV shows is a great way to maximize my TV entertainment. Having no late fees or due dates let’s me enjoy my games and I can stream my favorite shows to my iPad or TV. I get DVDs right to my door and I can swap out movies at the local Blockbuster down the block when I need a quick exchange. This is the best way for me to get my entertainment needs for just $10 per month.
