A DAD’S INVENTION FOR HIS CHILDREN

One nice morning in the summer of 2000, Bastien, the oldest son of Vincent Claessens, called his father to tell him he had finished sleeping. It was… 5.30 a.m.! That is how the Claessens’Kids adventure began!

Vincent Claessens, who is the father of  6 small children (Bastien, Arthur, Zoé, Fanny, Inès and Jade), and the founder of Claessens’Kids, then discovered that many parents face the same problem he had: young children often get up too early!

Kids hear and see things early in the morning (the sun, birds chirping, etc.) that seem to indicate to them that it is time to get up long before it is truly time to get up.   And by the way, which adult has never been embarrassed when on a particular morning he did not have a watch to indicate that he could still get some… or even a lot of sleep!
The solution!

Encouraged by this finding, Vincent Claessens invented the Kid’Sleep, the first nightlight with an alarm display for children. In a playful and educational way, it solves this problem that every very young child has: is it really time to get up or do I have to sleep a bit longer?
Claessens’Kids, it’s time for kids!

Almost 15 years have already passed since that fateful day in September of 2000. As of today, hundreds of thousands of parents have already chosen the Kid’Sleep to help teach their children to stay in bed longer. Following this success, Claessens’Kids has given itself a new mission : to bring to the market innovative and educational products dedicated to make life easier for parents and children! Claessens’Kids, it’s time for kids!

My babies are older and they still give me the line "We don't have to go to bed, the sun is still up."  I also hear "Mommy it's time to get up." as soon as the sun starts to rise.  I have tried to explain to them that it's summer vacation.  We need to sleep in.  Yeah it doesn't work!!

I always find it funny that they don't have to go to bed while the sun is still up in the summer, but in the winter, those same rules do not apply.  I've tried to tell them the sun just went down, it's bed time (at 4 pm.) and they don't fall for it!!

With Claessens' Kids Kid'Sleep Moon Sleep Timer, I now can set the alarm for them, so they know, Mommy does not get out of bed at 6 am during summer break!!

The kid'sleep moon has many benefits, as a night light and sleep teacher for young children and an alarm clock for older children. It helps young children have an understanding of when it is time to get out of bed and when it is not. It is a great tool for nighttime self regulation and the result is that both parents and children get more sleep. The kid'sleep moon helps kids stay in bed until it is time to get up. If the sleeping animal is lit, kids know to stay in bed. When the awake animal is illuminated, it is okay to get out of bed and start the day. Kids naturally relate to the sleeping or awake animal. Color recognition is not required. The kid'sleep moon has 3 settings for nighttime, nap and weekend, 4 choices of alarm sounds (or the choice of no alarm) and 4 levels of brightness to choose from. The kid'sleep moon helps children fall asleep with 4 different choices of lullabies. The kid'sleep moon also offers the smart sunset "go to sleep" function and the smart moonset "wake up process", which gives kids a 10 minute warning for sleep time and get up time. The kid'sleep moon has a new menu for very easy setting.

Sleep trainer
4 choices of lullaby
4 choices of alarm + silent mode
4 levels of brightness
Full face traditional nightlight
Smart Sunset “go to sleep” function
Smart Moonset “Wake up process”
3 settings nighttime/nap + weekend
Animated LCD screen

Easy setting menu

With the Kid'Sleep Moon Sleep Trainer, I have choices for the sounds that alert the kids it's OK to wake up, and I have the option to change the brightness on the screen.  The boys still need a night light, and this is perfect.  We use the most dim setting so it doesn't keep them awake, but it gives them enough light to see to get up to use the potty.

The pictures on the front are split in half.  The top half is a daylight scene, and the bottom half is a night scene.  The boys know that if the night scene is still lit, then it is not time to get up!!

This is a great night light/alarm clock for kids of all ages.  If you have babies who need a night light, who need an alarm clock, or even just need a tool to help them learn proper sleep schedules, then you need to check out the Kid'Sleep Moon Sleep Trainer.

If you head over to Claessens' site, you can see the other models they have to offer.  You can also follow them on Facebook to learn about new products.
