Nat Geo Wild- Two New Shows Airing This Weekend And A ~~Giveaway~~

Island hop with one of Hawaii’s best-known veterinarians, Dr. Scott Sims, as he treats animals on the go. Unlike most vets, Dr. Sims sees both wild and domestic animals, large and small, and he’s known for doing whatever it takes to give them the care they need. He even built his own private plane to go on house calls. A true adventurer, he’ll perform procedures on beaches, mountaintops, near waterfalls, and even on the tailgate of a truck. Watch Dr. Sims rescue a sea turtle caught in fishing line, save an unconscious horse stuck in a riverbed, and bring sight back to a pig blinded for years. Don’t miss theAloha Vet as he ventures across the rural islands of Hawaii, doing whatever it takes to help all creatures great and small.Aloha Vet premieres Saturday, March 21 at 9 PM ET/PT, and if you miss that, it airs again Monday March 23rd at 8 PM C.

Spring is in full bloom! And, Nat Geo WILD is ready to smell the roses from our Secret Garden. Gardens have long epitomized paradise, and many of us derive great pleasure in creating our own Garden of Eden.  Our cameras are taking a close look at the plants and small animals that call this home.  Today, exotic plants live alongside native animals; an eclectic mix created by generations of gardeners. But many of the creatures that live here go unnoticed, leading secretive and mysterious lives.  Small field voles make a network of tunnels under the vegetable plot, a shy weasel hides in the woodpile, and mason bees wallpaper their nest with colorful petals. As summer turns to autumn, small grass snakes hatch within the compost and edible dormice look for apples stored in our garden sheds. Stunning high definition footage and time-lapse photography reveals the vibrant colors of autumn and winter. This is a journey into an unknown and exotic wilderness that is our own back garden.
Secret Garden Premieres Sunday, March 22 at 8 PM ET/PT
