Visiting Disney's Hidden Art Of Animation Institute!! #LittleMermaidEvent

**All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  I was not compensated for this post.  I was given an all expense paid trip to LA for the premiere of Planes and to experience behind the scenes magic, thanks to Disney**

There are no words for the magic of Disney.  It's just above all in every way.  From how the parks make you feel like a kid and special no matter your age, to how the movies make you wish you were a princess.

When I was invited to California, we were taken on a tour of a building I never would have thought I would see.  The Animation Research Library.  I did not think I would be invited because I am not an employee, but I also never would have found it.  This building is hidden (just like all those Mickey's) in an industrial park among many many regular looking warehouses.  There are so many priceless art pieces in this building that we were not allowed to disclose where it was located (not that I could anyway!!)

When we walked in the door, we were greeted by many fun characters and art work.

I am very excited to show you these next pictures (Courtesy of Disney.)  These are behind the scenes photos that were taken for us.  It was very hard for me not to take pictures when we entered this area.  I kept reaching for my camera (which wasn't there!!)  It is like a third arm for me now, and who wouldn't want to take pictures of these amazing pieces!!

This is us touring one of the vaults.  Yes there really are vaults!!  They are temperature controlled rooms holding priceless art work from paintings to statues to stained glass!!

These are some of the original concept art work from the Little Mermaid.  Arial had blond hair originally.  I can not picture her as a blond.  She is much better as a red head!!

Ursula also originally had a tail like a sea horse.  The Octopus/Squid is scarier!!  When she looked like a sea horse she looked a lot like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

Visiting the Library was truly an experience I will never forget.  I am glad that I got to share some of it with you!!
