Driving To Florida With Two Kids Project Day Three

We finally made it to Florida!!!  It took a little longer then expected (two bathroom stops, and a gasoline stop) but we made it to the airport, and picked up Ashley!!

After the airport, we just had to go to Disney!!  We hit Magic Kingdom.  To us, it is the best park because it has the most for our kids and their age bracket!!

The first thing we got to see that was soooo cool was The Avengers Monorail!!

After a couple of fun filled hours in Magic Kingdom, we started to get tired, so we hit the road again, and went to our "hotel."  We booked online before we left, four nights at a Roadway Inn.   On our way, we stopped at CiCi's pizza to get dinner.  Look what we got for $20!!

So, here we are tired, hungry, and a little cranky.  All we want to do is get to the hotel room and relax.  When we arrived in the parking lot of the Roadway, we could clearly see that the hotel was very old and run down.  We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so we checked in to our room.  Now we should have known there was going to be issues, not only by the condition of the outside, but by the fact that the lobby had NO AC!!  This is Florida!!!

We drove around to the back and took a look at the pool.  It wasn't too bad, until you looked at the sides of it and could see stuff growing.  Ewww.

Then we went to the room.  With out going into too much detail to make you all sick, I will just say that there were alive and dead bugs, mouse droppings, and blood on the coffee maker in this room.  I think that is enough details for you!!

That was enough for us to say good bye!!  We went back to the front desk and told the women the room was nasty.  Instead of apologizing or showing some sort of true customer service, she made it known to us that we would still be charged for that night because we checked in after the cut off time!!  Seriously??  We just told you there is blood on the coffee maker, and you are charging us to walk in and almost vomit??

Luckily for us, there was a very nice hotel down the street called The Seralago.  They took us in, and are a nice clean hotel with a terrific staff.  We are very happy here.

We got to our room at 10pm, ate very quickly and just passed out!!! Tomorrow is another day!!!

A big thank you once again to our wonderful sponsors- Pirate Brands, Starbucks, Aldi's and Sonic!!

**All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  I am not compensated for taking this trip.  I do have some companies that have donated products to help make the trip more fun!!**
