I am a member of this book club where they send me 4 books a month and some sort of free-be.
The last couple months they have sent things like bowls and cups.
This past shipment included this book. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, being a romance book.
Of course I had to read it though. I LOVE to read. It is one of my favorite things to do when I can escape the kids for alittle bit!!!
I only read certain romance books, because I don't like the ones that are all about sex.
This one has alot of sexual tension, but not alot of sex.
It had a great story line, and you really hoped the whole time that the main characters would get together!!!
Sam and Penny meet when they are teenagers. Their first encounter was not a very good one. It ended with Penny mad and in tears.
Nine years later they meet again in a very funny way. Penny holds a grudge at first, but then realizes how much she is falling for Sam.
Sam is an Under Cover Police Officer who has to deal with some pretty bad gang situations. He had a rough child hood, and doesn't want anyone to count on him or love him.
Sam and Penny go through some tough problems along the way, including a Grandfather who tries very hard to get them together.
I loved this book, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
