I love to try new things. I do it every day. But for a couple of reasons I didn't want to join Twitter.
I joined MySpace, was on there for a couple months and got bored with it.
I am a member of Facebook, and still go on at least once every day or too, but again I am getting bored with it.
I figured the same thing would happen with Twitter.
After reading other people's blogs and seeing that almost EVERYONE on here is on Twitter too, I figured I would cross.
I have only explored the site for about an hour, but I still am not seeing what all the hype is.
If you are a twitter-er, please leave a comment below and let me know why, and what you like about the site.
I want to hear what I need to do to fully enjoy the site!!!

I joined twitter a year ago--I posted one time. I don't even think I remember my password;) I've decided that unless you use it on your phone so you can update...it's just one more window you gotta have open on the computer....I'm not sold.
Have you tried Tweetdeck? It made all the difference for me. I now see Twitter & FB at the same time & can see what everyone's posting. I'm much more active now, have made more friends.
I'm still not on Twitter every day, but I'm trying. I do believe it's a great way to build relationships - especially w/bloggers.
I now follow on Twitter & FB as well as blogs. It's easier 4 me to get to know people that way.

twitter is fun but I can't seem to get into it all that much. I only tweet every few days. I keep up with my facebook though.
I'm with the first poster; I joined for the contests. Sometimes if I "see" someone I know I'll tweet a hello, but can't really follow a conversation on twitter.

have to say that I've only done twitter cause I was told I should to boost my blog ratings and such... I don't work it at all, but do have all my feeds from both blogs go to it and have started following some other blogs and some stores on it who tweet coupons like Earth Fare... otherwise, its pretty well lost on me... heading over there to follow you though.. I'm chascouponmom on twitter

Twitter is great if you want to enter a milllion giveaways or contests! I also liek to look up celebs, news, magazines I like and see what they're up to, you can get some interesting info that way :)

Twitter is fun because you can put little random sentences whenever they pop into your head. Although, it is definately more fun when you have a smart phone because you can update it at any time no matter where you are!

I am just starting to warm up to Twitter as something to be used other than entering giveaways. The longer I am in this community of bloggers the more I find myself communicating with them through Twitter. I agree with Colleen, Tweetdeck makes all the difference. It sorts out Twitter in a logical way. You can easily see new tweets and who has tweeted you directly. I love it. I think Twitter is just one of those things that has to grow on you ;D
I'm following you from Friday Follow! I signed up with twitter two weeks ago because I'm going to a blog conference and wanted to connect with other attendees. I managed to tweet one time before I got to overwhelmed. Sorry, I'm no help :).
I use twitter as a means to spread the word about my giveaways and to also spread the word about the giveaways that I have entered.
It gives me another entry in most giveaways.
