  5. I followed my son's school bus on the first day of school and watched him get off, made sure he got in ok and sat in my car and cried when I saw him disappear

  13. My daughter, I was sad, but she was ready to go. But my son, the baby,it liked to have killed me, he was hanging on for dear life around my legs not wanting to go. In fact, that didn't change through school, never did like school:)

  24. I never thought I would. I didn't see the reason till it happened. I didn't get to say goodbye to him that day, and then they sent him on the bus when I was there to pick him up. It was a bummy day for me :(

  30. After taking my Son to his first day of Kindergarten and coming home, I did cry. I sat and watched a video of him as a baby and realized those times were gone and my baby was growing up.

    I cannot believe he graduates this coming school year.

  32. No, because I lived right across the street from the school & could watch him from my kitchen window @ recess! & I still had one at home that kept me pretty busy.
    I cried when he left for collage & when the other left for the Air Force.

  39. I cried when both of my babies started school. But I cried as I was leaving so they wouldn't see me. They were so very excited, and I didn't want to ruin it for them. I still get lonely at home without them though.

  51. No tears for Kindergarten. The only time I cried was when my oldest went to preschool. On his first day he screamed and cried and pleaded... the hardest thing EVER to leave! Luckily his teacher was a life-long friend of our family!! :)

  55. I totally cried! I was also the last parent standing there, after everyone else had gone. Even my husband took our two younger children to the car and I'm sure the teachers were wondering when I'd leave, lol.

    My youngest is going to school in Flordia and we are driving him from New Mexico. Now that is going to be hard for me, even harder than the 1st day @ school.

  61. On my now 14-year-old son's first day of preschool, he told me to go home! "you can come back later, mom". Yeah, I cried a little.

  63. I didnt think I would, and didnt until...I was fussing over him, thinking he would get upset, when he looked at me and said, "Mom, can I just go in now?" I told him yes, he hugged me and walked away...I walked three blocks home bawling all the way!

  67. i have 5 kids and for some reason my 3rd child was the hardest to watch go. He was so close to me and I knew I'd miss him so much. He is 12 now and boy I'm glad school is back in :)
