The Hobbit On DVD ~~Giveaway~~





J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic adventure follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an amazing quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. I remember when the first Lord Of The Rings movie came out.  I did not know anything about the series.  My Husband really wanted to see the movie, and he told me I would love it.

I went to see it with him not knowing if I would like it or not.  What Ben neglected to tell me was that it was a three part movie.  I spent a lot of the movie thinking "they've got to get rid of the ring soon."  I was so angry with him for not telling me more about what to expect, and for the movie not ending then and there!!

Ben is very excited to get to see the Hobbit.  I am supposed to get him a copy asap!!!

    We loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy. We watch them about once a year now.

    I loved the LOTR trilogy. I haven't read the books, but I am pretty sure that my favorite character would be Aragorn just like he was in the movies.

    Yup, I saw all three parts of LOTR and loved it! Truly epic films. It's a shame that only The Return of the King won the Best Picture Oscar.

    I read the Hobbit and LOTR both when I was still in primary school, so it's been a while. My favourite character was always Bromomir - he's liked the archetype of the flawed hero.
